A well-considered book - This book grew and grew on me. A good distillation of the principles of Christian leadership with a biblical core and with some very useful guidelines on how to get the vision and mission of your church. I can see this being quite a good reference as I try to see how leadership is to be expressed in my church.
Relational Leadership - Whats new? - Having taken the time out to read a number of books on the subject of leadership, both from the Christian and Secular stand point I was please to find this book, which was both well written and focused. Don t expect a book of rules, but rather a book which emphasis that leadership comes from the heart and is as much about the welfare of those being lead as it is about the vision and goals the leader would like to achieve. I found many gems in this book which drew me to look again at my relationships, areas of influence, and my character. The only reservation I have is the authors desire to tie his book to a limited number of biblical passages. I feel he has had to stretch the meaning in places to emphasis a valid and correct view. If he had been a little freer in his biblical base I would have given him 5 stars. In short an excellent book which I have recommended to others and would recommend again.
